when we were kids we just layered up. i didnt live in a house with central heating until i was 13. always makes me mad when the kids complain of being cold and all they are wearing are their pj's, get some extra layers on!

anybody any good at setting up tinternet?
had my bt hub delivered today and i have followed the instructions but for some reason the hub is not connecting with computer yes i have checked the connections..
will try again in the morn then phone bt, prob something obvious but not to a technaphobe like me.

Just be grateful for inside loos. When I lived at home before I was married we had to go into the yard to the outside loo in al weathers. Mu mum had to put an old parafin lamp in there in the bad weather to stop it freezing up.

used to get my clothes from the local army and navy store some days i went to school dressed as a japanese general.

Oh pogp i hope you get it sorted its no good asking me as i am the queen of breaking computer at my work place in fact i managed to do this spectacularly (can't spell) yesterday with my laptop and now it has to be sent back to HP for rebuilding from the inside out

And before you ask YES they gave me a loan one to try and break from another plant as i need one for next week in germany - don't know if that was wise!!!!!!!!

Pogo has your homebub got a password. nearly all of them do nowadays to stop other people using your signal. you may need to put that in on your computer before it will connect.

I remember them days Val & Dawn.

We had no central heating, just a coal fire, outside lav (my dad used to put a heater in too Val) and no bathroom.
If we had a bath we had to fill a tin tub up in front of the fire in the living room ( I am not joking) and then take it in turns to bath. I was quite small so my mum used to put me in the old pot kitchen sink
In winter we used to get up and scrape the ice of the inside of the windows so we could see out. Because I was so small and skinny my mum used to put a Liberty Bodice on me, it was a sort of vest that buttoned up with rubber buttons, very fetching warm though.

Ah, the good old days, not that I would want to back to them

God im so tired got in at 2.45am read till 3.30am then my mobile went kyle was glassed in town and beat up so no sleep for me,fortunatley he had his head glued but has black eye and all cuts and lumps in his head,bloody kosovans they should bloody well go home and fight in there own country we are too SOFT HERE.............

Hes asleep on the settee we have to watch him for next 48hrs,got cuts and lumps in his head and ear and black eye hes abit sore but well annoyed he was only defending two girls on the dance floor when they hit with bottles and they didnt break so used a wine glass when he went outside and his friend had a stool in his forehead and hes had 5 stitches,why caint it be safer like the old days i hate town.

Its horrible now. I hate it everytime andrew steps out the front door, they've only got to glance at someone these days and they'll get into trouble... Are the police involved sarah?

they took a statement and they were going to look at the cctv dont hold to much hope

i know what i would do to them if i caught them.

hope he will be ok and not too badly scarred.

Can someone please tell me why children are hell bent on not listening to their parents, I have spent the last half an hour telling my youngest that if he keeps messing about on the arm of the sofa that he will fall off to which he kept saying "i won't fall mummy" well what has he just done - Yes you guess he fell off backwards and cracked his head - big tears no sympathy from mummy just a "i told you that would happen".

And my oldest is in timeout for giving me lip there are days when i would happily give them away luckily they are very few.

Hi sarah only just read about Kyle hope hes ok and hope you are to, must be a big worry for you.

dont let kyle read all these posts sarah it will go to his head! e was very lucky it could have been so much worse, bless him he did look groggy when i saw him earlier. hope kelly is not mad with me for not telling her! and simon says tell your mum it is £5 for us doing kelly's laundry!!!!
