I have actually filled in my menu board for the first time in a fortnight, I just hope I can stick to it.

im having jacket spuds tom.

I never think to have them anymore, and at one point i used to have them almost daily.

we have at least once a week cheap and cheerful and amelia puts spuds in oven for me and by the time i am home from work they are done.

Thats the draw back for me. I have to put them in then wait

could you not cook them the night before and reheat - or micrwave them?

I always over cook them in the microwave

ive never done them in the micrwave - always like the old fashioned methods.

Its not recommended. They always come out hard on one side.

Try par cooking them in the microwave and then finishing them off in the oven in an 850 watt microwave cook the spud between 5-10mins depending on how big (dont't warp the spud in tissue as this pulls the moisture out let the microwave get steamed up) then finish in your oven probably only need 30-45mins if that - don't forget to prick the spud or it will explode!!!!!
The best way is oven cooked completely but this is not bad, much better than cooking them completely in the microwave oven.

In the mean time you can make a lovely healthy salad to go with it!!

hey people!!! just been weigh in and ive lost a pound this week!!! only got 5 pounds to go to meet my target!!!

Well I'm not 100% convinced but my scales say I have lost a kilo again.

well done to the pair of you - my eating habits have been really crap this week so no doubt i will have gained some weight.

Well that is what I expected to happen to me, as this is the first week I have eaten properly for about a month.

Ive had so much crap this last few days i am not looking forward to my date with the scales

some weeks it just cant be helped.
