Hope all going well tots, I'm sure you will be just fine. I have lots of catchng up to do after my week off, but am on my own and doing a naughty on the firms comp. Looking forward to seeing you all at the Globe on Sunday, but as Mon is a bank hol I will be even further behind so I had better get back to it or nobody will get paid this month, will log in again tonight.

Ever have one of those days where you wish you could have stayed in bed - thats the sort of day i'm having.

I think the day centre is right near to the school,i work in the juniors which is the older building. Since moving to Leicester I've always lived and worked in this area of town. My mum lives near humberstone drive

No I wasn't at Rothley school Lee, I was at the huge Library loans centre on Loughborough Road. It's where all the Leicestershire schools get there project box books from, so the schools don't have to spend money on books for each individual topic. Its a really great place if you are a booky. Even though they are childrens books there are some really interesting ones in there. Most schools just order the books they want, but my friend and I prefer to go and choose our own so we get some of the mosre interesting ones, and even get some for ourselves.

Going out there is also a good excuse to have coffee and cake at the Wyevale Garden centre which is quite expensive, so can be classed as a treat for working so hard choosing books.

I taught at the juniors on supply a few years ago Shelmor, and my friends little boy goes to the infants, as she lives on The Portwey.

wow its still a good job though.i tryed to get into a school for a teaching ass job but they said that too many kids would end up in looney bins if i worked there....so i tried tesco and they said we always have space for people like u marie and been there ever since

It would be about 5 years ago now, and yes it was in the juniors, but can't remember which teacher I was covering for. Just remember thinking it would be easy to get lost in the school.

i had to move classrooms last summer - bllody nightmare as some of the staff had been in earlier and nicked some of my bits and pieces, soon got them back though. going in tomoz with the girls - do a bit of furniture moving and cleaning.

I managed to get my furniture sorted a couple of weeks ago. Although there were no book shelves in my room so I had to swipe one from my old room (the other teacher didn't mind as she has the new ones that my new room are missing). Its the thousands of display things like my numberlines, adjectives, thinking hats etc that should be up on the walls that aren't because I can't find the ladders (EVIL CLEANERS). I do have more that needs sorting in the room. Most of the cupboards are still empty and everything is piled behind my desk, but I may just go in early next week and do some bits and pieces before the day gets started.

I used to get my brother to help me organise my classroom. He's not so keen on it any more. Seems staying in bed and online battles are more interesting these days.
