Theres plenty of time for things to get better maz, ... I'm getting my youngest into army cadets now he's turned 12,am hoping that will help him to settle down and use up some of his energy . Its the only thing he's shown any interest in for ages .

my nephew who has aspergers loves football and joining a team gave him the focus he needed and the training allowed him to release some of his aggression.

Hi all. Pleased it al went well tots. I was stung by a wasp when i was at school, (in the olden days), and they covered me in vinegar, i smelt like a chip shop for ages.

My cousin/godson also has aspergers and loves going to army cadets. He's already made lancejack and is eager to follow in the footsteps of his big brother and fight for Queen and country.

I worked with a little boy with aspergers for a while, also children with emotional and behavioural problems....
Yet i find it so hard to deal with my own sometimes.

im like that shelmor i cant cope with him most the time
i`d rather be with someone else`s child who has difficulties i think cos its your own its harder to deal with and walk away from

I remember in one of andrews postman pat books, he had a wasp or bee in his van which stung him,and mrs pottage said 'soda for a bee sting and vinegar for a wasp! ' Lol .

Yes you're right maz, your own kids are harder to deal with sometimes

thats because you are emotionally tied to them and you have your own standards and you know what you want for them, other peoples children you dont have that emotional tie with.

hey fran ive just remembered about callum - sooo chuffed for him winning the twinlakes competition, saw his piccie in the paper and i was like oooooo he was in my class - such a nice child wish i could have him again in my class.

Arrrr thanks Dawn, he's so excited, he got to ride in a helicopter from Leicester to Twin lakes. He is fab. No doubt he'll come and tell you all about it when school starts
