According to Kabbalistic tradition each of us come into being upon separation from the source, acquiring bodies of increasing density during our descent into matter.
we are therfore comprised of four elements: a physicl body, a psyche, a vital soul and the divine spark of pure conciousness each of which exists in its own sphere of influence in one of the four interpenetrating realities known collectively as Jacobs Ladder.
We alone among earths creatures are able to focus exclusively on our physical needs or express a whole gamut of emotions from sentimentality to rage. we can intellectualise, rationalise, reflect, recall or aspire to fulfill our potential and we also have the unique capacity to highten our awareness from these lower levels to the spiritual whenever we pray, meditate or use our imagination, which is the key to higher conciousness.
In this state we operate in the realms of spirit, thought ,emotion and action, simultaneuosly and unconciously. But the more self-aware we become, the more control we will be able to exercise over our body, our emotions, our thoughts and our connection with our higher self.
