In my house its "if you cant smell burning then nothings cooking"

lol my smoke alarm tells steve when dinners ready

if it dont go off he thinks we`ve got salad or sushi

when we first moved into t new house cooking was a nightmare for me as steve brought a new cooker and i couldn`t work it properly to save my life.....my old cooker was naff but i`d got used to it so it was trial and error at first......i`m lying its still trial and error now

Beans on toast im fab at.
I can out the bread in the toaster and the beans in the microwave.
No cooker involved

yes, learnt the washing powder trick ages ago, as am always either burning potatoes, pasta or rice, and cant afford to keep replacing the saucepans

Best thing is thou Jack was watching tv and the room was full of smoke and he didnt notice!!!!!

i tried to make a stir fry once and all you could taste was the cabbage and things like that in it......needless to say him and ash chucked theres in the bin .....i was fasting that day

i did a stir fry once, and even that went up in flames

it is only suposed to be in for minutes not hours.

I'd like to go to Borneo and visit the oranugtans. there my favourite wild animal, along with the polar bear, the tiger, the gorilla's, panda's........

I do not think enough people learn to cook these days i can make a meal out of anything i used to do a cant cook wont cook type thing where i had 1 minute to find things out of the cupboard then cook something with it.

It was brill and some really nice recipies came out of it.

now adays people make out they havent time to cook, when really it takes just as long to do a ready meal. i love cooking, my cupboards are full of ingredients, have been making my own bread since the new year (ok have a bread maker) but even so, it still works out cheaper and is really tasty as it doesnt have any preservatives in. My boys love cooking too and are always wanting to help with the dinners, and i encorage it.

My girls are the same.

They love to peel spuds and everything.
They dont do much cooking in schools now like they use to which is a shame

Yeah, know what you mean, i can remember making jam tarts and apple crumble in primary school, same age as what Jack is now. But then i think schools dont teach children life skills anymore, like basic cooking, sewing, I know maths, english and science is important but so also are the skills to take care of yourself. if you know what i mean

See this is the problem you know them teachers these days are not what they used to be

actually your right, when i was at school (in the black and white days) teachers were really old and scary. you had the chalk, the board rubber and all manner of things thrown at you. school was tough

i wasnt fasting really just didnt fancy stir fry lol...glad i didnt now....
