mine has been ok apart from being back at work - clara thought it was great as it snowed on her birthday! simon told her he had ordered it especially for a special girl on her special day - made me smile all day thinking about that.

Morning. Tots did you find anything out about st margarets baths? I put in google History of St Margarets Baths, and about the 3rd result was about when they demolished the baths they found archeological ..erm..stuff....and also evidence of disturbed human remains which they think dated back to when there was a medievil graveyard which was alongside an old medievil church....i think thats what it said. .....

Shelmor there were 4000 altogether you should have asked me as our archeological team at the museums got to investigate it. They also found traces of a roman villa and there was a church yard there too.

4000? Blimey thats a huge find, do any of the museums have a display about it all ? Its all very interesting...is this where the new shopping centre is built then?..

yes the shopping center is built right on top of it although the bodies have been reburried.

There has been an exhibition about it last year at Jewry wall museum but it is no longer there. there were human remains on show.

Human remains have to be delt with very delicately as i am sure you will understand and the human remains we have in our collections have gone through very strict protocol.

It was one of the biggest discoveries involving human remains ever found.

AND IT WAS RIGHT HERE IN LEICESTER

Yeah Shel, I found those pics, they were great. Was fascinated by them but its a shame there wernt more.

I know there was a village there (dont ask) and at one point they all lived in wooden stick huts with fires burning outside. You can hardly find anything on St Maggies, I even tried the archives on the mercury website but found nothing. Maybe I should try the library... study

We are getting some weird stuff happening at work and I think I know who it is but would really like it confirming.

It must of been big news lee, although i dont remember it in the paper or anything... I wouldnt really be over fussed about seeing human remains,its right that they were reburied. But it'd real interesting to read about it all and to of seen the museum display. ..

Im pretty sure that they wouldnt let us investigate at all due to having to have security whilst we were there, and also I dont think they agree to that sort of thing. If the subject ever comes up to the right people I would definately ask as Iv heard so much thats going off in the building when its quiet. We had our visual merchandisers stay very very late one night to put the xmas decs up, and a few of them kept seeing shadows darting about on various floors! affraid

I have said a few times that I would LOVE to stay through the night, and if its meant to be for us to get in there, the opportunity will definately arise Wink

Shel I believe somebody drowned on the site of our building and, from what I can remember of the baths location, its the area of one of the old pools that things are happening. Would be good to find out more.
