it's more mentally challenging than physical, she has mild autism aswell so you have to bide your time with her. everything has to be done her way or it throws her routine out.

Well let me see now... while being a student i work as a sales assistant at Boots, then in a temping agency which was really rubbish and i only lasted 6 weeks. But then i went to work for a company manufacturing refuse collection lorrys as a quality engineer (yes thats right and let me tell you when they been used and the catch fire they are bloody horrible) and for the last 8 years i have been working for a large automoive company called Johnson Controls currently as a service co ordinator which i enjoy most of the time and obviously i am also a full time mum which i am not paid for but their smiles and cuddles when they are being good more than makes up for the lack of pay........

Left school at 16 and didn't tale any exams. I have worked for a chemical company. lift company, loan company and a few recruitment agencies doing admin/accounts work. I also did temporary work in between jobs and when I was made redundant, which was an experience. Packed jigsaws, filled vending machines, lots of canteen work and admin, enjoyed going to different places but you tended to get the work no one else wanted to do like 3 months worth of filing!!! I presently work for an advertising/marketing company doing admin/accounts and basically anything else that crops up. Great bunch of people here and job is ok, would like to do part time but can't afford the loss in pay. I am a Jack off all trades but master of none, been here nearly 11 years so reckon I will stay till retirement, unless I win the lottery of course Laughing

bounce

Hello!! Well my last job was for a firm of accountants in Leicester, i started off as a telephonist/receptionist and by the time i left (15 years later) was doing the company bookkeepping, forming limited companies and dealing with lots of wonderful clients. Needless to say i loved my job and the people i worked with. Now though, i am a full time mum to two fabulous boys and love it, even those days when they drive me up the wall!!

think its great finding out what people do when they are not ghost watching.

lol!

it took 7 yrs in total as i went back to college to get my gcse's, then an access course(which is equivalent to a'levels), 3 years for my degree, a year out then 1 yr teacher trng course - but if you are interested get in contact with university of leicester as there are some part time uni courses especially for TA's that allow you to go on to do your teacher training

At the moment i work for a compony who design sailing clothes. It's my job to make sure they are water proof etc.
It's a fab job, when you've got load to do and there's plenty of fabric to test, but when theres not a lot to do, it's SOOOOOO boreing!!! Sleep Sleep Sleep Sleep Sleep

I'm a supprt worker looking after three men with learning disabilites in their own home, tomorrow will be my seventh week!
I love it...but you do get attached to the men & worry about them like their your own family x
Before that i worked in a call centre for nearly 5 years working on behalf of british gas x

Its hard not to get attached to people when you spend so much time with them.

I work with older people and i see them every day, no all their little ways and im the same
