| The ghost known as Gregory has been seen many times and is reported to have come to light when the pub was a funeral partner.Although some think that he was killed in action in the First World War.The3 pub dates back to the12th century.
Shelves vibrate, stools get thrown about and doors slam.People feel a oppressive feeling when he is known to be around.

| I have had a big oppertunity to meet this ghost as when i was young i Lived in Rothley and my father was a big friend of the landlord and his wife. we even had one of our horses at the back of the pub in a field that the landlord owned.
We were staying behind one sunday afternoon when the door open by itself and in walked a man dressed in knickerbockers and long coat with a ruff around his collar.I was only eight at the time so imagine what was going through my head. But because of the way i was i thought that it was only myself who could see him until the landlady said hello to the ghost and then everyone said that they could see him.
We heard the door slam shut downstairs and the landlady told us that he had gone down to the cellar and then we heard music playing on an old piano.the piano was down stairs and yes it was being played on its own.
