Thought you'd only take a peek when you heard the word "MURDER!" You morbid people! There is actually a murder story, but I shall tell you below.
Baddesley Clinton is an old 15th century moat house in Warwickshire, England.
Inside the library the guide pointed to some stains by the fire place and said they were blood stains from a murder. Priests used to live in this medieval house (which incidentally has three priest hiding holes during the time of persecution).
The man of the house returned one day and saw one of the priests 'tickling' his wife under the chin. Assuming they were having an affair he killed the priest and as his punishment for murder he was buried standing up in the local church, buried just by the doorway so that everybody who enters walks over his head... This was done so he could pardoned.
As I later went over to the church, there were no signs that this story was true, but then lifting the mat by the doorway, eerily there was a grey stone and a plaque with the man's name written on it hidden from general view!
