once upon a time....

As we made our way to the undercroft in the ruins,which was to be the safe room for the night.the alarms were going off so while our host was sorting them out we decided to have a go with dowsing rods,playing particular attention to the two stone coffins ..
After we had a talk we decided to have a quick walk round.Whilst in the museum part of the castle Sarah and Nigel had pains in their lower backs.And on the way to the safe room Jeff heard the words"dont do it dad,dont"

THE KITCHENS
On entering these ruins Sarah had pains in her back again , someone picked up children and Lee thought he heard children and as he said that we all heard a bang. Laura picked up on the name of Alice.and as this was said out loud, we all heard what sounded like a cows moo.
We decided to split up and move to the next, and Tracey's dowser rods began to move, the room seemed to be darker on one side. As we were waiting for the rods to establish, we could hear a long breath and a moan in the far corner near the ovens. Stella asked if they could move the rods in the direction they were standing, and they pointed directly to Stella. As Stella was standing where the previous noise was the rods were moving right round at this point, openely communicating with us.
By use of the use we established that it was Alice that was with us. Sarah asked Alice to make another noise and she did so. As the rods pointed to Stella, Alice confirmed she was a little girl, and that she wanted to play with us. Also she was tickling Tracey B's leg. Whenever anyone spoke, the rods moved to the said person.
After Alice made the rods move to Kyle we picked up that she didnt know what her age was. She said she was a Maids child and at that point we could smell bread, then the rods moved towards the ovens as we talked about it.
We got other people into this room and we could here singing and clicking in the back-ground. The rods were still spinning at this point.. On asking if Alice was still with us, we could hear a dragging of feet on the stone floor. Kyle held the rods and as Alice was no longer with us we said our goodbyes and moved on to another part of the kitchens, of which a few people said they didnt like it in this room.
Stella got the impression of dancing and the smell of flowers or something sweet: this room had a grand fire place and felt very warm even though we were in a derelict room.
Vals face changed into a fat face with a piggy nose and pixie ears (sorry Val). She was dissapearing and other people were vanishing too. We could see lights outside also, but it could have been someone else. Kyle was pushed and something was pulling his arm, as if wanting him to leave the room and go somewhere with them. Tracey B sat near the door and Claire (secret) had the feeling of falling although not being pushed. Quite a few people were being touched. It went really dark and we could smell burning wood and laundry. Lee asked if we wanted to go into another room and try, and on the dictaphone you can hear a distinct heavy breath. Burning was smelt in this room, there was also stabbing pains being felt, and when asked to the rods confirmed that they were making the pains. Lactic Acid type pains were being felt in the legs by Sarah and Kyle. The the lights pointed to a light that flashed. Which the rods confirmed that they were creating the flash of lights.
A few people felt unwell in this room, with stabbing pains and pressure in their heads. Legs were beginning to feel really heavy and a feeling to kneel on the floor. At this point Tracey B was kneeling on the floor and Tots was touched in the bottom.

LITTLE ANNEXE.

The spirit of Eliza was with us and a few people had a feeling of hurt in their legs and the feeling of tiredness from standing on their feet all day.
At this point Sarah's and Kyles right legs were hurting that much they had to sit down, and Eliza confirmed that her right was damaged.
On moving to find the rest of the group Sarah couldnt walk properly.. We met up with the other group outside on the green and we decided to have a break.

GARDENS.

After the break we decided to go into the gardens. As we stood around the hexagon shape, Lee asked us to think of a nursey rhyme but not say it out aloud. At which point a few people came out with the name George. The majority of people came out with Ring o Ring of Roses. We decided to all hold hands and walk around the shape singing the nursey rhyme. While we were talking a stone was thrown and then we decided to sing, here we go round the Mulberry bush. We could hear loud bangs while we were talking and Laura was touched in her back. We could hear whispering and flashes of light were seen.
We sang, here we go round the Mulberry bush again but this time walked the opposite way to the first time. When we stopped Jeff couldn't stop shaking even though is wasnt a cold night. Lee was dribbling and saying he felt like he had had a stroke. When I, Jeff and Stella stopped in a particular spot we didnt like it. We could hear foot-steps and noises in the bushes. While we were trying to walk around a certain spot, we had difficulty walking and seemed to trip over things that were not there. Lee moved onto the grass bit and sang Ring o Ring of roses while asking spirits to come and communicate with us. Lee was beginning to feel quite agitated at this point. Just before that there was a "ching" like metal hitting metal quite a few times.
Lee felt he was the teacher and because we were not singing properly he was getting annoyed. Three people went into the middle of us and we went in opposite directions, as we did this the three people in the middle began to feel shakey. There was a black shadow seen standing in the arch-way.
We moved to the entrance of the castle where the port and cullis would have been originally. Lee felt that bodies would have been hung here to warn people off. Some people felt that people should stand int he middle, we could smell stale blood, heard foot-steps and we could see lights.
Lee felt he was thrown down the steps with something around his neck. Then we could hear a noise that sounded like a cow, but do they have cows in zoo's?
Stella got pushed in the stomach, we could hear moaning and we felt like we should be marching. Stella and Jeff were standing on guard. A stone was thrown and humming was heard. we decided to leave there and go to the cottage and the garden..

We went into a room called the Zodiac room which had the 12 signs of the zodiac in picture form all around the room, with a huge pillar in the middle.

Lee could see a shadow next to Nigel and also a figure walking around peering into faces. Footsteps were heard outside in the corridor, at this time it seemed that quite a few people were walking around the room but it was only Lee.

Kyle and Maz felt as though they were being pushed to the floor, so they decided to sit on the floor .As we said we was doing this a loud bang was heard and Kyle got touched on his shoulder.

Lee was trying to talk and we couldn’t hear him so we asked him to talk louder, and this is what he said

"I want you to open your eyes

I want you to open your mind

To anything that can happen"

He went quite for a moment or two and then said

"Time passes by like the ticking of a clock,

Each second is a memory

Each minute can capture a thought, that no-one else can see"...



By this time Muse said she was feeling quite `mardy`, Sarah asked Lee if he was with us and he didn’t reply, he wouldn’t answer her. Kyle asked who he was and he made a noise like he had trouble breathing and then said "the moon, the stars, the sun" but as he was saying this he made actions with his hands and arms, as if in a `cross` position for the moon. Then when he said the stars he brought his hands together up in the air, pointing to the ceiling and when he said the sun bringing his hands down towards the floor as if placing a dagger into the ground......after he did this action he stepped sideways in a 1/4 of a circle and started again, Lee wouldn’t say anything else apart from the moon, the stars, the sun. Always in that order. Lee then stared at Jeff and it was suggested that Jeff also done this action, when he did Lee let out a menacing laugh as if to say `you have no choice’. Then it was Nigel’s turn to join in .They all did the moon, the stars, and the sun chant with the actions. Then as the 4th man was picked (city shirt, sorry don’t know Ur name), Tracey (tots) suggested that we shouldn’t complete the circle!!!

Lee started to sound angry that we hadn`t completed the circle....what circle? The 5 points of the pentagon?

On bringing Lee back he was confused and didn`t know what date it was.

When everyone had settled down the torches went out again and almost immediately shadows were seen all around the room. Sarah was asking out for the spirits in the room to do something but got no response, Nigel asked out and Lee`s guide told him that we are all weak....

Something was thrown by Claire(secret) and Laura started laughing and then let out a scream, Muse then started laughing maliciously and wouldn’t talk for a while just carried on laughing and Sarah asked if the other one was being sacrificed, Muse said that it had to be done and she’s the one and she chose hermit want answers. Muse wouldn’t speak to her if she (muse) wouldn’t give her a name and Muse laughed again, trying to sound intimidating Sarah told her that she wasn’t scared of her and Muse started hitting Sarah on the arms.

Lee asked if she was an alchemist and if she was to turn someone into a chicken.

Things calmed down a bit and Val felt someone sit beside her, she called out and said was that you Lee and he was standing over the other side of the room. We decided that a break was needed at this point.



Whilst we were having a break, Jeff was sitting in the safe room and didn’t seem himself. Stella and Maz was outside with Nigel and he laughed, Stella asked what he was laughing at and he said we`ll all find out later.



THE CHEQURED ROOM.....



We all sat down some on the benches and some leant against the walls and three of us sat on the floor with Jeff sitting in the stocks, Nigel sat near the bench and started to look vacant and Jeff sat very still just staring, we noticed that Nat who was sitting on the other bench features had changed and at this time Maz felt sick and her and Stella left the room. Lee was channelled at this point but he did know who he was but the spirit was communicating through him, Jeff kept looking towards the door which we had entered and myself and Tracey could hear footsteps walking down the corridor towards the door way and it looked very black. Lee told us we were too late and that it had already happened couldn’t understand what he meant and the atmosphere changed dramatically. I asked him what he meant and he told us it was too late the five point was now complete what had stared in the Zodiac room was complete this worried us as we didn’t know what to expect next. It was decide to move the five people around and Lee sat in the stocks, Nigel on the other bench with Nat moving too and Jeff sat on the floor next to us, we once again heard shuffling the footsteps and I asked whoever it was to join us, my mistake as again it didn’t matter who was where the five points were always going to be completed as Nigel told us very meanly and laughing. Lee was channelled in the stocks, he also kept looking towards the same doorway and he started to laugh I asked him who he was but he wouldn’t talk to me. After a while he started to choke and make gasping sounds which frightened us to death and at this point I tried to bring him backbit was really hard to get him back and after a few minutes he came too. When we decided a break was needed Jeff was still acting funny on the floor and took us ages to convince him we had to leave.





We all got comfortable in this room and I felt quite ill so I decided to sit outside the ruins with Stella.....we could hear and see things but being a zoo we didn’t take much notice

.











But as the night wore on both Stella and I could hear the group chanting the `omm`,when the rest of the group came out we asked if they got any response to the `omm` and all of them swore blind that they didn't do the `mom`



THE SAFE ROOM

In here there was two stone coffins and Jeff decided to get into the one that was still intact, we heard a few knocks .we was all sitting very quietly then Jeff sort of gave a `grrrhhh` and sat up. We could sense that something was in the broken coffin but on putting the torches on there wasn’t anyone in it. After a few minutes we heard the door latch lift .but we was all in the same room sitting at the other end of the room.





I would rate this venue as a 10
I would rate the investigation as an 8
I would rate the whole investigation and venue as a 9/10

Dudley Castle:- The ruins Natalie’s group report.



We entered the first part of the Dudley ruins into what appeared to be a large dining room. There was no roof or floor above just the old rains of the fire places.

We stood where we felt drawn Vix stood in the large fire place area followed by Lee and said they felt a presence around the fire place along with the smell of burning wood.

Chris was standing in the door way of the room and it was mentioned by several members that she appeared to have no head.

Lee sensed a lady busying herself around on the floor above which no longer stands and a humming sound from which sounded like a lady was heard.



We decided to move along through the ruins to the far end room this room had a large arch window with the entrance to another room and two arch ways.

When in this room we decided to try out the dosing rods which seemed to follow one member of our group Nigel around the room.

Nigel stood in the doorway of the smaller room while Vix and Chris stood in the two arch ways. Both mine and Lee’s rods made the same movements although one would be pointing at either Chris or Vix the other remained pointing at Nigel.

Nigel left the room to join the other group briefly and both our rods followed him out of the room. When Nigel returned our rods appeared to know this before we did as they both pointed over our shoulders and in the direction Nigel was walking.



We then headed back into the first room again and this time the atmosphere seemed a lot more intense. We had only been in there a few seconds when a rail seemed to shake very loudly making us scream out followed by a loud “shhhhhh”.

One of the members noted that a figure could be seen in a door way above the room and this was noticed more than once.

Lee was standing by the door when I mentioned that he seemed to look like monk and his hand was missing as well as looking very skeletal and his eyes were glowing. We each took it in turns to stand in the spot and although our heights vary we all seemed to have the same thing happen to us so this could not have been the lighting it was very scary.



We entered the final room when Laura became overwhelmed with sadness and felt very sick she picked up on the name Alison and had to leave the room. We decided this area seemed a little flat so joined the other groups to carry on our investigation.
