There are many ghosts that have been reported at Harlaxton.The main spirit there is said to be that of the lady of the house who was very much into spiritulism Violet Van-der-Elst.

Doors are said to open and shut and lights turn themselves on and off. A dark robed figure has been seen wandering the corridors and noises are heard throughout the building in the middle of the night.

There is said to be a nasty presence in one area of the house.
