| my grandad i never met - he died at the end of the second world war in normandy - so my mother had to grow up not knowing her father, like i grew up not knowing her. although i never knew him to me he is a hero as he died to give me and millions of others the freedom we have today. there are lots of famous people i admire but i wouldnt call them my heros. and have to say all those people that do jobs that serve, protect and assist those in need eg firemen, nurses etc. _________________ perfection is only a word not a reality, unless you are me!!!!

| People in the lime light, i guess i would have to say the men and women who are in Afgstain at the moment. (or is that casuse i'm biast?) I know it's there job, and there getting paid, but there all Hero's in my eyes. On a personal level, my Grandad, i miss him so much. We where two pains when we were together for my Gran. I still have his letters he sent home when he was posted abroad in WW2 |

| i know - and the last 'tommy' died at the weekend - i bet he thought that ww1 was the war and that he wouldnt see killing like that again - sadly he has lived through another world war and all the recent conflicts we have been involved with/in. when i went to boulogne last year we saw a whole coach load who were coming home on leave before their deployment to iraq or afghanistan - most of them looked like babies - it made me very emotional but also very proud that they were prepared to go off and fight and try and make life better for others. _________________ perfection is only a word not a reality, unless you are me!!!!

I went to Barstaple in April to see Peter march in his home comming parade. I have never felt prouder of him before. All these men and women of the RM comado's (there was about 300 marching in total through this town). I just wish i had a ticket to go and see him get his medal. (but i would of had to look smarter than what i did!) Still got the photos on my camera, pity i have't got a better pic of Peter, but i know he's there.
Everysingle one of them people in uniform are hero's past and present.
If you ever get the chance to see them march, go and watch, it's so emtional, i tried so hard not to cry incase he saw me. Which i know sounds daft, but he did see me twice, and lucky he didn't see the tears! met some lovely people down there as well, there son was 23 and it was his second tour. |

| on the news channel at lunchtime they were showing the repatriation of four of the dead soldiers - it is so sad......no matter which side of the fence you sit on regarding these conflicts a sense of pride should be felt. _________________ perfection is only a word not a reality, unless you are me!!!!
