As to the rules, they need to be made plain to everyone at the begining of a vigil and if people don't stick
to them then they are out. We cannot afford to lose all the vigils because a few people don't abide by the rules.

But hey, no doom and gloom, it's a better outcome than I expected, HOORAY

Like i said it is good but I know it seems a bit extreme but I supose the laws are only protecting us as a whole really.

I supose they seem to think if you are taking this serious then you would train and qualify in the areas that you work within. I can see their point really.

It shows commitment and shows everyone how serious and professional everyone is.

Rules are rules and should be followed...I work with the Council and don't always like the rules they set, but they are there for a reason...and so be it.

The rules that I can see they have set seem pretty straight forward..especially the alcohole ( sp ) one and the anti - social behaviour ( aggression ).

Out of interest...where would you go to become a paranormal investigator?.

Im glad you have asked that because as you can see anyone on this forum can class themselves as a paranormal investigator yet nobody else has got any credentials for it.

You can start at any spiritualist church where they will offer different ways of enhancing your psychic abilities.

Then you can do many courses throughout England and the World regarding the paranormal.

these courses vary in price but can be very pricey if you are not serious about being a paranormal investigator with credentials.


This is I supose what they are trying to acheive here. knowing that people that are totally committed to the paranormal will have paid for learning about the ins and outs of it.

Some of the University run ones are about £4000 to complete and are a five year course.

Other open courses are around £200-£400 pounds but when you get your certificates are not worth the paper hey are written on as they will not be accepted by any organisation.

A diploma is worldwide a degree isnt. It is but only in certain places but a diploma can be used throughout the world.

Thanks for letting us know Lee, and i'm glad it went ok. I agree with the rules as they are there for a reason, one of which is for our safety. I also agree with the ban on alcohol, afterall we are in very old historical buildings and alcohol impairs peoples judgement and i for one wuold not want the damage of something so old and priceless on my conscionce (sorry cant spell).

and on a lighter note, who needs alcolhol at a xmas party, we've got food, each other and the ghosts ...... what more do we need.

Hi Lee, so glad that you are still able to continue. If we have got to abide by the rules so be it, as it is a means to us being able to continue with the watches.
I am very intrigued about becoming a qualified investigator. I have seen the information given on the forum. Can you suggest a spiritualist church in leicester and which college/university offers the diploma courses that you have mentioned

Lee, have enjoyed many ghost hunts with yourself and the team over the last 18 months, and have made many good friends, (yourself included I hope). As I have no wish to train as a paramormal investigator, or obtain qualifications, does this mean I will not longer be able to come along.

I wonder how will the regulations about qualfications etc will be enforced? If tickets go on sale to the general public will people have to prove that they are studying in this area?

Seriously, the plate of food they give you is a PROPER meal, so try not to eat before you go. Its really good though. You WILL have to take your own pudding. 30 portion chocolate gateaux should do it
